Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The final time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson faced off, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former that emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson might’ve had himthe judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The chances last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they are so close now around speaks to how well he fared in the first meeting, while also nodding towards how much he has improved his fast-twitch stamina.
Even so, Jones, who hasn’t fought in 17 months, has mostly dominated everyone he has come across in the Octagon. This fight should take more gasoline than he’s accustomed to consuming up, but he should pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
