This weekend from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, we’ve got the opportunity to witness not one but two UFC world title fights which have been in the making for quite some time.
In the co-main occasion, for Bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko squares off contrary former several time Strawweight women’s champion, Joanna Jedrzyczyk for the new and vacant women’s 125 pound Flyweight world title strap.
These two girls have a friendly rivalry that dates back to their amateur fighting times at the European Muay Thai Championships. Valentina was able to come out on top each fight, albeit with much more experience every time and she’s the larger fighter.
More on the dimensions gap.
The main event may feature the most anticipated fight of 2018! I understand that the announcement, however, think about it. Minus Conor vs Khabib, there is not a fight I was hyped for than that one all year.
Jon Jones’s return is going to definitely, be fairly awesome but this is actually the second time both of these men have gone through a complete fight camp in preparation for their struggle. The first time around, Max Holloway was pulled from the contest at the last minute by the athletic commission for weight cutting problems.
Many fans and media are still speculating as to what’d Max sounding so punchy and slurred in interviews past that potential first fight w Ortega back on July 4th of this year.
